Your experience with the CFs and your professional relevance to the theme of CFs:

My interest in community foundations is in the context of my research in the area of community development in Eastern Europe as well as my consultancy work for NGOs and charities, involved with local communities. I participated in the site visits to distinguished CFs in Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Poland, organized by Community Foundations Learning Initiative of Mott Foundation, and produced reflective papers based on my impressions.

Key characteristics and information about the CFs and community philanthropy in your country:

This information will be provided by Monika Pisankaneva, who follows closely the development of CFs in Bulgaria and will also participate in the study visit.

Area of your particular interest in the CF development/ CF management/ practice (please specify if this is a theme where you are interested to learn more, bring your own expertise or both).

I am interested to learn more about the history of the Romanian CFs – how they emerged and evolved in the context of their communities and how their agenda is harmonized with the developmental needs of the respective communities.
