As a consultant for Mott foundation in Russia from 2003 I’m involved in monitoring of CF development in the country since this program is supported by the Foundation. I visited a number of CF in my country as well as in some other countries, due to C.S.Mott program.

Key characteristics and information about the CFs and community philanthropy in your country:

The 2013 research demonstrates that in the country we have about 60 organizations, which position themselves as CF or use CF model. They are in different stages of development. We also have a CF Partnership. It unites about 20 foundations. The community foundations are active in some rather big towns, in small towns, and in countryside (rural funds). We also have alliances of CF united foundations on regional level.

Area of your particular interest in the CF development/ CF management/ practice (please specify if this is a theme where you are interested to learn more, bring your own expertise or both)

I’m interested in CF development in general; in particular I would like to earn more how local people are involved in decision-making process of CFs; what kind of other community philanthropy practices used in the country; how better start CF inception in a community.
