Your experience with the CFs and your professional relevance to the theme of CFs:

Since 2010 I work within the V4 Community Foundation Maturity Program. The program aim is to strengthen the institutional capacity of community foundations in Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary. We organize grant competition and institutional support. Within the program, I visited several CFs in Central Europe.

Key characteristics and information about the CFs and community philanthropy in your country:

In Poland there are over 20 CFs at different stages of development. The first of them were established in 1997, some are just a few years old. Some are experienced with the endowment reaching 1 million PLN (~310,000 USD), some are emerging CFs – these are organizations that meet most of the requirements of CFs. Total value of their endowments is ~2,6M USD. Total amount allocated to community since the beginning of the movement is ~ 14M USD.

Area of your particular interest in the CF development/ CF management/ practice (please specify if this is a theme where you are interested to learn more, bring your own expertise or both):

I would like to exchange the experience regarding developing community philanthropy. What is more, I would like also to learn more about the communication technics and the digital storytelling and learn some interesting best practices that I can share with Visegrad CFs. I’m also interested in the phenomena of charismatic leadership.
